A new day, new poker – Session 6

SG, 10 seats 15000 chips in total. Starting chipcount: 1500.

Strategy: Play few hands as usual. Aggresive or passive play in the beginning? If aggressive, play safe. If passive play, play more hands like straights and flushes (good hands for that).

Passive table. Lost 200 chips against K10 with my AJ.

Slow table. But managed to pull off a bluff. Had AK pre-flop but got nothing, raised all the time. We both had the same chipcount 1500. After the river I bet 500 with 1k in the pot. The other guy folded.

Won 1600 with a pair of aces. The other guy went all in with 600, I was afraid my ace was too weak buy I took a chance. And it worked. But now risktaking is over. Blinds at 50/100, chipcount 2740.

5 players left… chipcount 2490.

4 players left. Blinds at 150/300. Am the small stack. Need to place my bets right now.

Won an all in! JJ against 55. Rasied pre-flop to 600, but a Q showed up on the board. Placed a bet of 1000 as I thought I was ahead of him. Kind of strange bet. Anyway it did succed. After that we where both all-in. Chipcount 5130.

3 players left, pay out this time also! Quite even game chipcount from 3500 to 6500. Mine in the middle at 4600.

Aggressive players! Raises all the time. And I got crap cards…

Won a big hand, slow played a straight on flop. Bet to little on the river, only 600. But won quite big.

Heads up! Won a all in against the same guy as before. Went all-in two times after our hand (very good opportunity for me) and I had good cards the second time. Knocked him out, chipcount over 9000.

Lost. Went all-in with AK against 99 and lost to four of a kind… He pressed very hard with high 1k-2k bets, I had good cards but I was to passive on these hands. A good players. With some luck with my AK had won this.

Summary: Didnt have to good cards this session. One hand JJ, 2-3 AK (ok) but no more. Got a solid second place, with some luck I would have won. Overall good game, very safe played.

    Hi,
You have put together a really nice blog. Are you playing these games online, offline, or both? Thank you for visiting my blog at http://www.ProductAndServiceReview.com and leaving a comment. I also have another blog that I think you will like even more. It is a blog for a skilled gaming business that I own. The blog is at http://www.SpinnersSkilledGaming.com. Let me know what you think. We will be running some Texas Hold’em Tournaments soon, but as of right now we just have the skilled gaming, that is until we get enough people to put together some Texas Hold’em Tournaments every week.

    Thank you,
    Rod
